Public markets in Victoria add colour and vibrancy to the local economy, attracting residents and visitors from April through October each year.

Public markets provide artisans and local growers opportunities to promote and sell produce and handcrafted goods in a vibrant atmosphere.

Farmers’ markets are considered an essential service under the BC state of emergency and are expected to comply with hygienic practices and physical distancing to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Markets may sell only food which includes fresh, frozen and prepared foods, take-away from food carts and food trucks, and pre-packaged liquor. Oaklands Sunset Market

This market is a free, weekly community celebration featuring over 50 local food growers and producers, artisans, crafters, live music, a bi-weekly beer garden and a space for the community to come together and meet their neighbours.

Moss Street Market

2020 is Moss Street Market's 29th season of providing local and organic farm-fresh produce and local foods to folks from the entire Victoria and surrounding region. 

Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., May - October
Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. November - April
Porter Park and Brooke St Park (see website for drive through and online order pick up locations).

Bastion Square Public Market

The Bastion Square Public Market stretches from Victoria's waterfront on Wharf Street to Government Street through Bastion Square.  This eclectic outdoor market brings liveliness to historic Bastion Square with its brilliant array of locally-produced arts, crafts and entertainment.  On Sundays, the market expands onto Langford Street to include farmers selling their locally-grown produce and fruits, homemade breads and pastries, honey, preserves, chutneys and relishes, free range eggs and much more.

Victoria Public Market at the Hudson

The Victoria Public Market is located in the historic Hudson building in downtown Victoria, and features locally-produced cheese, local meats, farm-fresh groceries, handmade pies, a French bakery, oils and vinegars, fresh flowers, specialty retail, gourmet food service offerings, and much more.  In addition, the day vendor program features even more of Vancouver Island’s artisans and makers.

Mondays - Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
